As streams of Cumbia 420 kept rising, so did the prejudice around the artists behind it. Media coverage focused on their lives rather than their music.
Together with Spotify, we created a raw mini-documentary to change the narrative. Following L-Gante (Elián Valenzuela), one of the genre’s pioneers, the film explores his reality and creative process, making him headline news for the one thing that started it all: his music.
